I am putting this article on our site because there are so many of us who have special dog and cat friends who deserve a special loving treat. I found this publication while vending and reading at a psychic fair in Michigan. I thought it was special enough to make available to anyone interested that may not have an opportunity to get the very informative and wonderful publication From Natural Awakenings Magazine or read the works of Cyndi Roberts.

When it's time for holiday treats, don't forget one of the most important members of the family. Try these recipes for your special pet.
Biscuit Dough Ingredients
Preheat oven to 275 degree F. In a large bowl, combine the flour, oatmeal, wheat germ, peanut butter, vegetable oil, honey, baking powder and water. Mix until thoroughly combined. Roll the dough out to a 1/2 inch thickness on a lightly floured surface. Cut into desired shapesand place on baking sheets.
In a small bowl, mix together the egg and milk. Brush the glaze on the biscuits. Bake for 40 to 50 minutes or until the biscuits are golden and firm.
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. In a large bowl, mash the tuna with oil. Add flour, milk and water and mix well. Fold in the beaten eggs.
Roll out on lightly floured surface and cut into bite-sized pieces. Place treats 1 inch apart on lightly greased baking sheet. Bake for 10 minutes. Turn treats and bake 10 more minutes or until golden brown. Cool completely and store in the refrigerator in an airtight container. Allow treats to come to room temperature before serving.
If you have a friend who has a special pet, have fun and surprise him this holiday season with a gift for his pet. Fill a jar with some of these homemade treats and tie a bandana around the top. When the treats are gone, the pet can wear the bandana.
